The building was designed by the famous architect Hans Asplund (1921-1994). Only 26 years old he designed this spectacular building inspired from his participation in the designing of the United Nation building in New York. In 2001 Eslov Civic Hall was selected as the most beautiful building in Skåne and 15th in Sweden. In 2007 the Civic Hall recieved the "Europa Nostra" price.

There are different stages, restaurant, bar and several rooms designed for exhibitions etc. An all together inspiring atmosphere well situated for an event such as the festival.

During 2003-06 the building was restored into the original condition.
